The Culture of Education

This section of the blog will examine the history of media literacy education in the United States.  While the explosion of new media has made this topic more relevant and visible now than ever before, it is by no means a new topic.

In fact, the beginnings of media literacy education in the U.S. can be traced back to the 1960’s.   This section of the blog will start here and examine the next four decades in hopes of constructing a clear picture of where media literacy education has been and where it stands today.
